Scott Stuecher, MHA


Scott has more than 12 years of healthcare experience and has worked with nearly 100 provider organizations across the country, including community health systems, independent hospitals, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, post-acute care organizations, and physician practices. Scott’s engagement work focuses on strategic and affiliation planning. He is an accomplished project manager recognized by clients for delivering innovative and actionable solutions to complex strategic challenges.

Scott’s recent experience has included:

  • Developing comprehensive enterprise strategic plans for numerous community and academic health systems
  • Completing independence assessments for community hospitals, evaluating potential affiliation partners, and developing affiliation structures and deal terms
  • Creating service line plans for hospital systems, including development of integrated service networks across hospitals
  • Leading the regulatory review and approval process for five organizations (two health systems and three community hospitals) in a proposed merger
  • Facilitating the development of a comprehensive partnership between a multi-state Catholic health system and a nationally top-rated specialty service provider


Prior to joining Veralon, Scott completed internships at Health Management Associates, a consulting firm specializing in health and human services policy, and Akron Children’s Hospital.

Scott frequently publishes on industry topics and has spoken at numerous healthcare leadership conferences. He is a contributing author to the book Healthcare Strategic Planning, Fourth Edition. Scott holds a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Ohio State University.
