Monica has seven years of experience in healthcare consulting, with a focus on physician compensation valuation and on business arrangements with physicians, including employment and independent contractor agreements, call coverage arrangements, medical directorship, administrative agreements and other professional services agreements.
Monica has prior experience in labor relations and employment law in both the public and private sector and three years of experience in compensation analysis.
Monica’s experience includes:
Valuation of management services agreements for cancer centers and on-site medical equipment management services
Designing a large healthcare system’s physician compensation plan
Assisting a rural community hospital in consolidating multiple professional services agreements under one large PSA, through valuation and negotiation support
Valuation of medical director services for skilled nursing facilities
An internal audit of a client’s physician employment contracting process
Determination of best staffing structure for a multi-campus anesthesiology program
Valuation of gainsharing, shared savings, and hospital quality and efficiency programs
Monica holds a B.S. in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School.
